At Acrimoney, we love underdogs. We don’t care where their stories originate, the world of private wealth management or elsewhere. Glasses off, sleeves rolled up, ready to mix it up—we are drawn inexorably to people who plow through life trying to do the right thing.
Last Saturday I joined Insider Exclusive as Steve Murphy filmed The Fight to Save Tator’s Dodge. Chrysler plans to close 789 dealerships across the country. Chuck Tator, a soft-spoken guy who looks you in the eye when he speaks, is one of the named casualties. Would you grab a cup of coffee and listen to his family’s story?
If you find yourself moved by Chuck’s story, as we are, please re-tweet this post. And ask your friends to do the same. We need to spread the word and help a guy who works hard, keeps his head down, and always puts his customers first. Now, there’s a model for all of us in finance.
Thanks for dropping by. It’s always good to see you at Acrimoney. There’s plenty more this week. Our guest blogger will join us. And we’re still counting votes for Part II of The Ponzi Wives Poll.
It’s a crime closing down a dealer..let alone one of the first Dodge dealers. This family worked hard for Dodge and this is the way they are paid back. I buy and drive only Chrysler products, I just purchased a new Challenger and my son just purchased a Jeep Grand Cherokee, we are from Connecticut not New York, but I would be very upset if the dealer I just purchased my vehicles from was closed up and I had to go to the dealers I did not want to do business with in the first place for my service and warranty work. Chrysler wake the hell up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
June 9 is when the Judge makes the decision. Stay tuned. And thank you for your comment.
I can only hope the good sense of the jurist will prevail and allow this institution to carry forward. As native of the area, Chuck’s grandfather’s busses took me to swimming events over 50 years ago, service was always their motto as it is today.
Great presentation and if anyone from Chrysler Corp woudltake the time to view, the would see the obvious, kill off Tator Dodge and you loose a customer forever.
