Wonder how elder fraud starts? Yesterday and again today, the “IRS” left a dire message on our home phone, threatening to arrest us. The caller warned : “Now, if you don’t return the call, then the only thing that I can do is…wish you good luck.”phone scam

The IRS does not initiate action over the phone, especially an arrest for “five criminal allegations.” So of course, I dialed the number. “Agent Ray Spencer” answered. It sounded like he was in a boiler room. But apparently I sent out the wrong vibes because Agent Ray got off the line pretty quickly.

This is one of the classic techniques that reprobates use when targeting seniors. I’m posting the message with the hope you share it or do whatever to help put these guys out of business.
