My Tell-All Interview with Peachy Deegan

Writing Life

Whom You Know is one of my favorite sites on the web. It features the best of Manhattan. It's my first stop when I'm looking for a good restaurant.

Recently, Peachy interviewed me for her column, Movers and Shakers. No holds barred. We covered everything, Here's one example, but I recommend that you check out the full column:

Peachy Deegan: What is the first thing you wrote and what do you remember about it?
Norb Vonnegut: An essay during first or second grade. My teacher was a nun, and she asked us to describe what we wanted to be when we grew up. In those days, I dreamed of becoming the pope. I liked his hat, that and the way everybody respected him.

I thought you would have said "The Big Sneeze."

  2. Dick Reynolds Says:

I had nuns as teachers throughout grade school and the Marian Brothers in high school.  This experience is bullet-proof insurance that I'll never run out of things to write about.  Merry Christmas, Norb.

AHA!  Another Penguin survivor.  I knw we were kindred souls.  Do you have ruler scars on your knuckles, too?
