Carly Fiorina and Barbara Boxer, Think We Care Whether You Approved Your Campaign Ads?

Republicans are rushing an additional $4.8 million to Carly Fiorina's campaign for the California Senate. She's spent at least $14.6 million according to OpenSecrets.org.

Big spending is not the exclusive domain of Republicans. Fiorina's opponent, Barbara Boxer, has spent even more—$16.8 million so far.

When will the lunacy stop?

It seems to me our elected officials fall into one of four categories: 1) Wall Street money; 2) Hollywood money; 3) hi-tech money; and 4) personalities that don't need money or want to make it with a tell-all book deal. Isn't there a candidate in Delaware who once professed to be a witch?

There are a few "crossover" candidates. But I'm not sure it helps to be wealthy and a personality. How are things working out for you in New York, Carl Paladino?

Carly and Barbara, want to make a difference?

Get attention, lots of it, by doing something good for California. By my calculations, your combined expenditures will pay annual salaries for 478 teachers in your state. Maybe there's a more productive way to spend your campaign dollars.

Hmmm…. I wonder what John McCain is doing in Arizona.

Well, said, Norb. Tthese candidates are miraculously better at campaign fundraising than bringing down the state budget defict and getting California up and running and out of the red. Where does the money go or am I missing something??

The money goes to commercials. See above.

    :)

I guess, so. Because, once they're elected the money sure isn't spend on its constituents:)
